What makes the new EPAL Euro pallet QR a digital load carrier?

"In future, we will print a QR code directly onto the pallet's wooden block. The QR code is a unique identifier for the pallet and transforms the EPAL Euro pallet into a digital load carrier. This allows us to combine the movement of goods with the transfer of information and to offer users many different functionalities, such as information on the location or the status of a pallet.“
