Warning against fraudulent orders of EPAL Euro pallets
In July 2022, another case of fraudulent ordering of EPAL Euro pallets from Germany was reported.
New Euro pallets were ordered ex-works on behalf of a large trading company . The delivery was to be made to a Dutch pallet dealer (name and address available to EPAL). The name of a real employee of the company (with false contact details) was misused to place the order.
The attempted fraud was uncovered through research by the EPAL licensee, who noticed the different invoice numbers, whereupon he checked the purchaser's details and was able to establish the misuse of the name.
EPAL recommends that when ordering EPAL Euro pallets to new or unknown customers, do not deliver until payment has been made. Do not be pressured by urgent delivery dates.
